- January 1963 - Born to E. and E. Simons in Tampa, Florida.
- August 1968 - Started kindergarten at age 6.
- August 1969 - Started attending Clair Mel Elementary School in Tampa, Florida. Attended that school for 5 years.
- August 1974 - First year to be bused to inner-city Jackson Heights Elementary School in Tampa, Florida. Grade 6.
- 1975-1978 - Attended Dowdell Junior High School, Tampa, Florida, for grades 7-9.
- 1978-1981 - Attended grades 10-12 and graduated with high school diploma from Providence Christian High School in Riverview, Florida.
- February 1980 - Received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at Providence Baptist Church in Riverview, Florida.
- 1981-1985 - Attended and graduated with a B.A. degree, majoring in Bible, minoring in Greek from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida.
- 1985-1986 - Attended Pensacola Christian College, majoring in M.A. Biblical Studies program.
- August 1986 - Moved to Aiken, South Carolina to become the Junior/Senior High teacher at Temple Christian School.
- August 1986 - June 1990 - Taught Bible, History and Science to grades 7-12 at Temple Christian School. The school changed its name to Liberty Christian Academy during the 1989-1990 school year.
- June 1990 - Transferred PCC graduate school credits; earned an M.A. degree, majoring in Theology, from Patriot University in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- 1991 - Met the former Vicki Bryan and married her in October.
- 1991 - Moved to Glen Burnie, Maryland to become the Bible and History teacher for grades 5-8 at Odenton Christian School.
- August 1992 - Returned to Aiken, South Carolina.
- October-December 1992 - Started training to become a Professional Driver; earned Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) from NEI Truck Driver Training in Charleston, SC.
- 1993-1995 - Worked with my wife as part of a Husband/Wife professional driving team, driving for two major irregular route carriers.
- September 1995 - Founded the work-from-home business named Probe Consultants, which specialized in consumer savings and was marketed primarily on the Internet. The company was closed in March 2000.
- February 1999 - Became a regional professional driver with Epes Transport System, a regionally-based carrier located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- June 2001 - Responded to the Lord's call to return to Christian school teaching. Accepted the full-time middle school position at Aiken Christian School, teaching English, Math and Study Skills to grade 6, History to grades 7 and 8, and Computer Technology to grade 11.
- April 2002 - Accepted a contract to teach for a second year the full-time middle school position at Aiken Christian School, teaching English, Math and Study Skills to grade 6, History to grades 7 and 8, and Computer Technology to grade 11.
- April 2003 - Accepted a contract to teach for a third year the full-time middle school position at Aiken Christian School, teaching English, Math and Study Skills to grade 6, History to grades 7 and 8, and Computer Technology to grade 11.
- June 2003 - Began and completed the first of a three-summer program toward an M.Ed. degree in the Teacher Leader program at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. (Each link opens to a new browser window.)
- April 2004 - Accepted a contract to teach for a fourth year the full-time middle school position at Aiken Christian School, teaching Math and Study Skills to grade 6, New World World History to grade 6, World History to grade 7, and American History to grade 8.
- June 2004 - Began and comleted the second of a three-summer program toward an M.Ed. degree in the Teacher Leader program at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. (Each link opens to a new browser window.)
- March 2005 - Began search for new Christian school/college ministry in the Southeast; listed on Association of Christian Schools International website and started sending applications and resumes to Christian high schools and colleges.
- May 2005 - Completed my fourth year of teaching at Aiken Christian School. I believe that God has clearly closed the door for my return to this school after a year of being unsettled and undergoing much spiritual turmoil.
- June 2005 - Began and completed the third of a three-summer program toward an M.Ed. degree in the Teacher Leader program at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. (Each link opens to a new browser window.)
- July 2005 - Began additional search for new Christian school ministry in the Southeast; listed on American Association of Christian Schools website and began sending applications and resumes to Christian schools.
- September 2005 - Became a professional over-the-road (OTR) driver with Schneider National Carriers, the nation's largest privately-owned carrier. This was done to provide economically for my family and is viewed as a temporary means of employment. Currently I have resumes with several churches, as I believe that the Lord wants me in full-time church ministry as either an associate pastor to students or a minister of education. We are eagerly awaiting His direction for an open door. Presently there are ongoing searches at the Southern Baptist Convention job search website.
